Eligibility/Dues

 

To be an ASCA member, you must have at least five years of experience in arboriculture and one of the following educational requirements:

  1. Possess a four-year degree in arboriculture or a closely
    related field, such as urban forestry, horticulture,
    plant pathology, entomology, forestry, or plant
    biology.
    OR
  2. Be a Board Certified Master Arborist.
    OR
  3. Have a minimum of 240 approved CEUs.

New Member Dues

  • If you join between October 1st and March 31st, dues are $549
  • If you join between April 1st and June 30th: 

- dues are $275 with an expiration date of September 30th of the   joining year OR
- dues are $549 with an expiration date of March 31st of the following year

  • If you join between July 1st and September 30th, dues are $549 - this covers the next year's dues in full PLUS the 4th quarter of the current year at no charge
  • Application fee $75

Maintaining Your Membership

Earning 30 CEUs every two years is required to maintain your membership—see list of approved CEUs.

By becoming an ASCA member or renewing your ASCA membership, you agree to attest that you have, or will, complete all 30 continuing education units for that CEU renewal cycle by September 30 of the renewal cycle, and that you understand 10% of members will be subject to a random audit of continuing education units where they must provide proof of CEUs. The next due date for CEUs is September 30, 2024.
