Trees, Water, and Health: Green Infrastructure Co-Design for Co-Benefits

Trees are increasingly being recognized as a green infrastructure solution for many urban challenges, such as heat islands, air quality, and stormwater management. This presentation will focus on the latest research on the urban forest as a strategy in stormwater management for local communities. At one time, government departments focused on specific programs. More often, departments and professionals are integrating efforts to achieve co-benefits through co-design. Presentation topics will include green stormwater infrastructure strategies, the role of trees, human health co-benefits, and private sector involvement.
