Lisa A. Harvey is a civil litigation, business, and real estate attorney with Ryan Faenza Cataldo LLC located in Franklin, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been practicing law since 1991. In addition to the Massachusetts Bar, Ms. Harvey is also admitted to practice in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has a “BV” rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been named a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine each year from 2003 to 2016.
Over her 25 years in practice, she has handled a multitude of civil litigation matters—from contract disputes to insurance defense, products and premises liability to defective service and consumer claims, real estate controversies to construction and employment matters. Ms. Harvey represents institutional and corporate clients as well as individuals, including arborists and tree service companies and experts in that field. While her practice is weighted toward the defensive side of the judicial scale, she also represents plaintiffs in civil disputes.
Ms. Harvey has taken and defended countless depositions over the years, including expert witness depositions. Because a deposition can be the key to any case, it is important that a witness and, in particular, an expert witness, fully understand the process and know how to conduct him/herself during a deposition and how to answer questions. Ms. Harvey excels at preparing her clients for testimony by teaching them how to listen, break down questions, and give specific, on-point answers. She is also adept at obtaining critical information from opposing-party witnesses—oftentimes without the witness ever realizing the significance or value of what he/she has disclosed.
