ASCA Referral Directory 2008:

To become a Member of ASCA, a person must have at least five years experience in Arboriculture and a four-year degree in Arboriculture or a closely related field or a corresponding number of continuing education credits.

In addition to having the work experience and educational requirements of a Member, a Registered member must also successfully complete the Consulting Academy and have three consulting reports successfully reviewed. Registered members of ASCA have demonstrated superior skills in the field of consulting arboriculture.

All members of ASCA must receive 30 continuing education units (CEUs) every two years to maintain their membership status.
